Candice Murphy

Candice was born into a Family of Artist and Craftsmen. Growing up immersed in the vibrant Art and Antique Culture of the Palm Beaches influenced Candices decision to pursue a career as a Gilder Restorer. Candice began her training in her Mother's workshop and later working with European Artisans at The Flamingo Park Studio located in the famed "Antique Row" district of West Palm Beach. The Studio serviced the numerous Dealers and Designers of Antique Row and neighboring Island of Palm Beach, where there was always an abundance of high-end Fine Antiques and Works of Art to Restore. This experience allowed Candice to refine not only her skill level but also knowledge of various materials and techniques used in Period Antique restoration.

During Antique Row's "Off Season" (the summer), Candice trained in Architectural and Decorative finishes under Linda Daily with whom she completed monumental projects in the Palm Beach and Miami areas. In 2006 Candice moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where she has worked as a Gilder, Fine Art and Antique Restorer, and Faux Finisher for Private Clients, Dealers, and Decorators. Her main contract from 2009 to 2019 was as Manager of Jacques Antiques, Importer of Fine Period French Antiques. Candice's responsibilities were to Procure, Restore, Document, and then Market Period Fine French Antiques for the American market. The years dedicated as an Artisan combined with a thorough understanding of the Fine Antique market has recently inspired Candice to produce new Artisan pieces using traditional techniques and materials.

Candice is also a Mother of two and a "Wellness" Coach and Surf Instructor for US Military Veterans with the "Warrior Surf Foundation."
